You can work around this problem by:
# echo "modprobe advansys" >> /etc/rc.modules
# chmod 755 /etc/rc.modules
The "rc.modules" file is described as a feature for "backward
compatibility with VARs" in /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit but I don't know what
the "proper" way of doing this is.
