Debian's solution to the updates is a program called apt. Apt was
faithfully ported by Conectiva (I think) to work with RPM's. A few
places have faithfully maintained repositories with all the latest
updates.
I think it is a good idea to pay Red Hat for the service they are
providing. I would gladly do so if they would just dump the $2000/min
on PO's.
