At 11:38 02/07/03 -0400 you scribbled:
Hello.
I'm new to Linux.
Is there a way to go out to the Internet from a Linux box via a Proxy
server running on a Windows NT network?
I so far tried : 1) entering the proxy's ip address and port number
where necessary
2) entering proxy's name and ip address on the network
hosts
3) I can ping proxy
4) If I put proxy's ip address on the brwser, i can get
to IIS server
5) Don't know if this is related but I do have Samba
server running fine and I can share files accross platforms
The browser tries to go to the url but just sits there and nothing comes
up. I tried Mozilla, Galeon and Conqueror.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
should work as you have it set up!
are you sure your ip address is not being blocked by NT box?
