try to enable plain text password on your windows machine.
on win 2000/xp there are two entries in the registry. both must be set to 1.
on win98/me you must create the entry in your registry here
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\VNETSUP"

Subject: [rhn-users] samba connection
Hi All,
Can any one out there help me out.
I configured samba and am able to see the linux server
on the windows network neighbouhood. When I click the
linux machine, it brings up the 'Enter network
Password" screen. I enter my linux username and
password but the connection would not establish for me
to see my shares.
Thanx.
