Assuming this is a freebie registration, I'm pretty sure you can just create a new account and register this computer with it. From a terminal session, either as root or su, try up2date --register
You will require a new username, but that seems a small price. As the emails from your present account are going to the bit bucket, one day soon the old account will be deleted because you will not have been responding to the poll(s).
I did something similar after rebuilding a machine. I used a different userid and couldn't eliminate the old account even though I knew the password. Actually, I couldn't eliminate the emails about updates coming to that account which is the same thing. After about a month of ignoring the warnings about account deletion, the old account finally went away.
