Hi, The USB Alcatel DSL modems and USB DSL modems generally are a pain to get up and running on GNU Linux. Personally I just went OS independent and purchased a D-Link DSL 504 DSL Router with 4 port switch. Setup and configuration via web based GUI or telnet. http://www.dlink.co.uk/long_desc.asp?id=382 With the above hardware and network card in your box(s) you can choose whichever ISP you want and the OS's you run are not an issue! A lot of times, your ISP says they don't support Linux just means they don't know what to help you configure it to work. But most equipment will still work on their network using Linux.
