Re: [rhn-users] Updates server

Hi,
There is documentation on the RHN site about how to get
RH 6.2 to function with RHN: basically, you must download and
install a series of RPMs, in a particular order, manually.
Then RH6.2 can be registered and updated as any other
RHN-managed unit. If you don't install the GUI, you can
do this via command line using "up2date". All this is the
good news. The bad news is that RH62 has been scheduled for
End-Of-Life as far as updates and RHN are concerned, as of the
last day of this month. So it hardly seems worth any effort
to do for a few more weeks. Of course, getting your machines
updated may buy you time to migrate. In reality, RH6.2 is
an OLD distribution, and system that obsolete should be
upgraded in any case.
HTH,
A. Becker
