Subject: [rhn-users] In urgent need of help/advice
It went through all right, EXCEPT that I got this warning message:
warning: /etc/localtime created as /etc/localtime.rpmnew
The above line just means that there already existed a /etc/localtime file
and the newer one was created with the .rpmnew extension. You can just
move/copy the newer one over the old one.
Also, an indication that some thing went wrong is that when I did
rpm -qi glibc-2.2.4-18.7.0.8.i386
I got the response that
package glibc-2.2.4-18.7.0.8.i386 is not installed.
I got the same response when I did rpm -v glibc-2.2.4-18.7.0.8.i386
Try just rpm -q glibc or if you want to know them all, rpm -qa | grep glibc
You only need the package names, don't include the versions.
