[rhn-users] disabling auto checking with rhn

All,
the autoupdate that runs at the beginning of my login with rh8.0 is
killlllllllling my machine, once it finds out whether there are updates or
not the machine runs fine.......but that is 10-15 minutes later, which makes
most of my computer access out to the web null and void.
i have removed the service rhnsd from starting, but that does not seem to
impact the bluecurve desktop. i can not remove the item from running on the
panel from the panel.............
so what do i do.....note, not sure if this is the correct list to post
to......but since it has to do with red hat network lag issues.....it seemed
to fit...
