RE: [rhn-users] Re: up2date reboot

I have looked in the log files but there is nothing there because, it
reboots without warning. Since the OS was new I traded a reinstall but
the same thing, same spot every time. Now I'm thinking HW but, I have
checked the SCSI drives they seem fine.

The spot it reboots on is after it collects the RPM's installed and
"sends profile info to red hat" I hit forward and a process dialog box
opens it gets to 30% and boom reboot!!!
Other that that the Box runs fine...

I'd check all the usual places for logs like /var/log/up2date,
/var/log/messages, etc.

If you're not updating, does the system operate as expected?

Likewise, have you attempted to just download the packages instead of
downloading and installing? From the command line do this as root:

# up2date -nox -download
Unless you've specified another download directory the files should be
downloaded to /var/spool/up2date.
