RE: [rhn-users] up2date not working for RHAS 2.1 Devel Edition?

And I tried installing new RPMs for various packages, such as the kernel, libs, and so forth, but I get so many dependency problems, I gave up on the command line RPM updates. I have everything installed from the install iso's, including all source files, etc. the only really easy way to get my system up to date is by using up2date (remember when all we had was the command line rpm command...)

Importance: High

I subscribed to a channel, downloaded the iso's for RHAS 2.1 Devel Ed, but every time I try to run "up2date", it keeps on saying that "there are no updates available". I know there are at least two kernel updates, all kinds of security updates, and so forth...

Per RH support, I've tried un-registering and re-registering, tried re-installing the certificate stuff, etc. etc. but no luck.

On my RHN account, it says all of my systems are up to date, and that I'm subscribed. My RH9 system is updating just fine.

Am I missing some kind of subscription? In any case, even though I am using the install for development only, I don't want all of the security risks associated with old versions of many RPMs from two months ago...

thanks.
