Virus programs for Linux are generally used to filter viruses that use
the Linux box as a go-between. I.e., if you use a linux box as a mail
server for a bunch of windows and other clients.

Also... though a linux box is rarely, if ever, directly effected by a
virus, that doesn't mean the virus doesn't show up in my mail queue...
i.e., ending up as so much spam. We here at Red Hat filtered out some of
the more recent flareups of viruses and worms simple because they were
(a) easy to filter, and (b) filled up mail queues. I used some easy
procmail recipes for those.

That being said, you may have needs that are beyond what we/I do so...
