[rhn-users] Way to exclude packages from update list on rhn ?

I have set up several machines to locally to exclude from up2date
certain packages, such as netatalk 1.5.5-6:2 (I'm running
netatalk-1.6.3-11 which shares directories properly), openssl (I'm
running 0.9.7c), and xmms-1.2.7-13.p:1 (I'm running xmms-1.2.5-7), but
they still show up with (!) for updates available on rhn. The problem
is I can't see when more updates that I might wish to install are
available, other than by regularly checking or running up2date.

Building higher/more recent versions of these packages is fine, except
that I've yet to figure out how to "out epoch" the redhat package
builder (this is not too nice of them). I think with ssl I changed what
it "provides" to avoid updating, but this seems to be an unncessary
complication.

Is there any way to exclude packages from the list which rhn thinks I
need, so I can see an accurate reflection of updates which I really wish
to install ? If it doesn't, RHN should provide some way to completely
"opt out" of the upgrade path for certain packages on a machine by
machine bais, while the status should accurately reflect the
availability of updates potentially wanted by the user, IMHO.
