ntp is good, i use it and i recommend it, however it will not cure your
configuration problem. the linux clock is maintained in UTC, and does
not change when daylight losing time begins. what gets displayed
depends on what time zone you are in, and whether or not your locality
does daylight saving time. these are configured on the second tab of
the installer's date config screen, so it's easy to understand if you
missed them. you can correct your configuration with redhat-config-date
(redhat 9) or dateconfig (redhat 7.3).
if you dual boot with windows, there is another dateconfig checkbox
which interests you, whether to save UTC or localtime in the hardware
when shutting down. choose localtime.
