The easiest way to handle man pages is just to put a * at the end, so that
it picks up man pages whether they're gziped, plain, or bzip2'd.

Yes, the gnome-core RPM is a wee bit stupid. I've submitted patches, but
they've never gotten into CVS. Do and 'unset LINGUAS', and you should be
able to build the gnome-core RPM.

I'd like some more obvious error messages as well, but they haven't arrived
yet. After working with RPM for a couple of weeks I was able to spot most
errors and fix them, but the only way I generally know it's failed is that
it DOESN'T say "wrote /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/screwed-up-1.0.0.i386.rpm".
