rpm error

Hello,

I received a message from rpm to contact this address.

I just purchased an Update CD 07/07/2000 for my RH6.0 system. The
install script updated rpm itself and reported it was updating the rpm
database. A kernel error message about a sector error on the hard drive
popped up and the script reported that update of the database failed and
then reported that it was recovering by copying files to /var/lib/rpm
from /var/lib/rpmbupdatedb. After determining the list of packages to
update it broke on a failed dependency:

error: failed dependancies:
libqimgio.so.0 is needed by kdebase-1.1.2-11

After determining that this library was to be found in qt1x-1.44-4 I
attempted to manually install it with this result:

qt1x ##############################################################
free list corrupt (12159368) - contact rpm-list@redhat.com

rpm -q or rpm -e reports qt1x is not installed.
