Fabulous. At last. Something concrete to follow and try.
I've been battling this problem and fouling up my installation
(SuSE 6.2) repeatedly. Being a novice I have yet to get a firm
hold of the problems but, as is being written in a different thread
for this group, I have been getting all sorts of dependancies and lib
errors etc.
It is said, tho' how true(?), that RPM is not RedHat. Well OK.
Most of the discussion seems to be centered on RH 7 and earlier.
Let's not forget that RPM is supposed, I'm told, to be across
distributions. _All_ new or updated packages done with RPM4 are/will
be useless unless this problem can be resolved. The thing which got me
started down this track was my desire to update Samba 2.0.7 (which was
a new RPM (4) ). Silly me -(
Thanks again
