RE: Working version of RPM for alpha osf1?



Thanks very much. I figured out that I was missing some definitions in the
rpmmacro file (like where the tmp directory is) that were preventing it from
running. I corrected these and now it runs fine. I appreciate your response.

I've put my build at:

   ftp://ftp.physics.uq.edu.au/pub/rpms/rpm-3.0.5.tru64.tgz

This was built with gcc 2.8.1 under Tru64 4.0F and works fine for me.

I patched it to put everything under /usr/local.  To unpack it:

   cd /usr/local
   gzip -cd rpm-3.0.5.tru64.tgz | tar xvf -
