OK, here's my stupid question du jour. I am working on an installation
scheme for a system to do a Redhat kickstart install and install a
number of RPMs. Two of the RPMs are the apache web server and
ApacheJServ (the mod_jserv module). The problem is that although
ApacheJServ requires apache, it is not a prereq, so it's possible that
ApacheJServ will be installed before apache is installed. This screws
up the ApacheJServ postinstall script, which updates the apache
httpd.conf.
So, it there any way to add a prereq to an existing RPM? Or a way to
tell the kickstart install to install one RPM after another? I suppose
that I could create my own apachejserv.spec file with an apache prereq,
run rpm2cpio on the rpm, unpack all of the files, and then create a new
RPM, but that seems (ahem) just a tad kludgy.
Any suggestions?
TIA,
- Bill
