possible feature

I'm curious if anyone has thought about adding the ability to have aliases
for rpms once they are installed. For instance, I currently have openssl
and openssl-devel installed from the Polish(ed) distribution. I have an
rpm which requires libopenssl1 from Mandrake Cooker. openssl-devel and
libopenssl1(-devel), in theory, provide the same things. In this case,
rather than having to use --nodeps, I'd like to be able to set up an
alias. If this is already possible, I appologize for the post, otherwise,
would it be a considered feature?
Thanks,
Jeff
