Scheduling for first/next reboot?

I've got a database schema I would like to import as part of a package.
I've got an rpm that seems to do it, but not if I run it as part of anaconda's
install-time system.
Are there things I should be aware of when building packages for system
install-time instead of later installation?
I notice that the postgresql rpm that I am using has the init.d script
check for the existance of the database, and creates it if it is not there.
Do I need to do something like this to have the system import my schema
at the first boot or start of the some service?
