RPM update program recommendations?

As some of you are aware, we are using RPM to package open source projects
for AIX.  We have about 240 binary RPMs out there now for people to install.
The obvious follow-up question in RPM management is how a customer would keep
the RPMs current.

In AIX's proprietary installation system, we have a facility which updates
installed software with anything newer on the installation media (taking
requisites into account).  I would like to be able to provide an equivalent
facility for the RPMs.

Are there existing and recommended RPM update utilities which handle the
underlying requisite problems?
