Hi,
I've successfully upgraded my RH5.2-based system first to RPM3 and now
to RPM4 (rpm-4.0.2-5x from ftp.rpm.org).
Managing packages works fine, and (after I figured out that I need
rpm-build now!) building packages _appears_ to work ok.
However, the newly built packages are about half the size of ones built
with RPM2 and RPM3, and installing them causes RPM to cough with "cpio:
read error" or "cpio: MD5 sum mismatch".
This hasn't got anything to do with RPM4 using bzip2, does it?
Thanks in advance for everyone's help,
