bad owner/group

Hi list,

I've found several references about the bad owner/group issue. From what I 
can understand most of the issues usually related of wrong rpm/red-hat 
distribution (compiled with the wrong glibc).

I have similar problem and I'm not sure how to check whether I'm using the 
right rpm version with the right glibc library.

The following is the error message I got. Oh and I'm using red-hat 6.2:

[victorh@host86 SPECS]$ rpm --version
RPM version 3.0.5
[victorh@host86 SPECS]$ rpm -vv -ba platform.spec 
Bad owner/group: 
/home/victorh/projects/product/platform/rpm/SOURCES/xts-platform-0.1-src.tar.gz
