Hello,
I have just recently started using Linux (Slackware 7.0) and I am trying
to compile RPM 4.0.4. I unpacked the rpm-4.0.4.tar.gz from the root
directory, CDed to /rpm-4.0.4, and typed ./configure.
After running for a while, configure exits with these errors:
configuring in db3
running /bin/sh ./configure --cache-file=.././config.cache --srcdir=.
configure: error: cannot find sources in .
mv: Makefile: No such file or directory
etc...
configure: error: ./configure failed for db3
If I go to the db3 directory and type ./configure, that part runs fine, but
it always chokes when I run ./configure from /rpm-4.0.4. What am I doing
wrong? Is there another file that I need to download? Or is this a known
occurence?
Thanks,
-Tim H.
