[Fwd: RPM problem]



Dear folks,

My friend has an RPM problem I have never encountered.  We welcome any
suggestions.  I believe he is using Red Hat 7.2 (please correct me if
I'm wrong, Eric).

I have got a problem of RPM after uninstall some rpm 


[root@denver ericlui]# rpm -e sane-frontends
[root@denver ericlui]# rpm -e sane-backends
[root@denver ericlui]# rpm -e gimp
error: db3 error(-30998) from db->close: DB_INCOMPLETE: Cache flush was
unable to complete
rpmdb: Overflow page 681 of invalid type
error: db3 error(-30985) from db->verify: DB_VERIFY_BAD: Database
verification failed

I have tried update the rpmdb but it still doesn't work and core will be
dumped 

[root@denver ericlui]# rpm --rebuilddb
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
[root@denver ericlui]# gdb --core core

What program is not function ?
