Default arch for building RPMs

Hi!

When I build a rpm with "rpm -ba foo.spec" on my MandrakeLinux system,
it defaults to build i586 RPMs.  However, I'd like to change this to
default to building "athlon" RPMs.

How can I do that?  And can I do that in a way that only affects one
user (ie. I do not want to change system wide settings)?
