Not necessarily. You can rpm -ivh the gcc-c++ .

You are moving your system towards RH7.2. It is no longer pure 6.2.

The -98 release is for RH7.2, while the -85 is for RH7.1. Pick one, don't mix.

It looks like you will have to update your glibc to 2.2 first.
