Hello,
I have seen scattered references to packaging multiple RPMs into a single
'container' RPM package, which performs the function of iteratively
installing each 'child' package that it contains. While this does not
provide the ability to individually select the packages, it does allow for
multiple packages to be distributed as one. So two questions:
1. Is this a supported RPM operation, or are there known problems with this
approach?
2. Are there example of well-known applications that take this approach to
bundle RPM software?
thanks in advance,
adam
