Great!
No known binary incompatibilities, but then I'm biased, branded,
and otherwise polluted :-)
The most important "deep ABI" change in rpm-4.0.4 is to use a single dbenv,
rather than a dbenv per db. That change was driven by deadlock's on sparc,
and (I believe, and don't want to know) is due to inconsistent values
in db locks from mmap'ped backing store. Can we say kernel VM?
And be forewarned: I still have a bit of nastiness I need to debug in
header.c in order to get --repackage fully functional, the header read
from the re-written package cannot be headerUnload()'d into the database.
You shouldn't see have to worry about this it all, if I blow it, the
noise will be deafening.
