Hi there
I've installed apache 2 via the source. That is unzipping and going
'./configure', 'make', 'make install'.
That went good and apache is working. HOwerver, i had to remove some
packages to reomve the old version of apache. In particular: apacheconf,
mod_dav, mod_perl, mod_ssl, webalizer. I'm trying to reinstall these by
downloading the RPMs but they won't work cause they complain that either:
error: failed dependencies:
apache is needed by apacheconf-0.8.2-2
or
error: failed dependencies:
webserver is needed by mod_ssl-2.8.7-4
What can i do to get the rpm to recognize that apache is installed?
ALso, i have some source rpms (ie apacheconf-0.8.2-2.src.rpm ) but when i
try and go 'rpm -ivh apacheconf-0.8.2-2.src.rpm' nothing really happens?
WHat is going on when it's a src.rpm? Are some source files being set up
somewhere?
Thanks
Desmond
