Clean workaround for "i386-redhat-linux-gnu-binaryname" problem

Hi,

I've been wondering what the cleanest workaround for the problem (occurring
quite often) where you get binary and/or man page files names prefixed with
the "arch-distro-linux-gnu" passed on the command line by the %configure
macro (I guess).
I got the problem often on Red Hat Linux, and am getting it again for a few
packages on YellowDog 2.1.

My current ugly workaround is for example :

mv %{buildroot}%{_bindir}/*name %{buildroot}%{_bindir}/name || :

And it's ugly! ;-)

Any suggestions or pointers are welcome!

Matthias
