If you're using a version of RH that has the rpmdb-redhat package,
you can easily find which package among all the packages on the RH
CDs contains a file:

rpm --dbpath /usr/lib/rpmdb/i386-redhat-linux/redhat -qf FILENAME

If it's for a package not included with the RH CDs, I've found that
a convenient way to find the package is to use rpmfind. I've had
problems with the command line client, but the web client (www.rpmfind.net)
often can locate packages that provide the file. Simply enter in
the full path for the file in the search field.
