We've currently use rpm for distributing our products both
on Redhat Linux and Solaris platforms, it's saved our butts
more that once (although it's been an hassle installing it
on solaris).
I'm wondering if its still the policy to run the
vpkg_provides.sh script to create a pseudo rpm to resolve
all of those pesky dependencies that rpms build on solaris
have? If so, then I'd guess its best to build this pseudo
rpm on each and every sun system to make sure that our rpms
work correctly?
Regards,
joe
