Multi-line macros in the spec file

I am trying to define the multi-line macro in the spec file and nothing
seem to work. I hope that the multi-line macros should be possible since the bigger
definitions lose readability when placed on a single line. 

The same multi-macro (without %define part) placed in the .rpmmacros file
works fine. Also, flattening the macro in the spec file into the single line
makes it work OK.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
