Desperate - help please ...

Hi

As per maximumrpm I've been building rpm sucessfully.

With rh8 I could not understand 'unpackaged files' so I edited the macros
to do legacy behavior, and all was sucessful.

With rh9 I again ran into the 'unpackaged files' so I edited the macros
for legacy behavior, but rpmbuild now hangs.
It looks like rpmbuild is executing 'sort' with no arguments and waiting
for ever (on stdin).

1) can anybody explain unpackaged files
2) is anybody using rpmbuild on rh9
3) if so would somebody send me a small specfile that works on rh9
