You have a shell account? Enough disk space?

Nobody can stop you. Now, do you want to do it the hard way?

I always thought that this should work:

[dag@lisse dag]$ rpm --initdb --root $HOME
[dag@lisse dag]$ rpm -Uhv --root $HOME --nodeps gurlchecker-0.3.10-0.dag.rh90.i386.rpm Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
1:gurlchecker ########################################### [100%]
error: unpacking of archive failed on file /usr/bin/gurlchecker;3ea88bc1: cpio: open failed - Permission denied

Now I have one illusion less. ;)
