I created one rpm and trying to install it on same
machine. However I get following message:
error: Failed dependencies:
/bin/sh is needed by xxx
I searched previous messages in this list which say
that the /bin/sh is not found by rpm it its database.
I tried adding 'Provides: /bin/sh' in the rpmrc file
as suggested. But it did not work.
Then I created new rpm package with 'Provides:
/bin/sh' added in my spec file. Now the rpm gets
installed but while uninstalling it again displays
same failed dependency error. Also the uninstall does
not complete.
Is there any work around for the /bin/sh error?
