Dmitry, 

This should work as I understand it.  I don't know that it wasn't broken
in your version of rpm.  I will try to test this later wtih rpm 4.2, just 
to see if it works there.  I am pretty sure that it should work though
because that is essentially what is done when building rpmdb-redhat.
