Help! RPM chokes on tftp-server-0.32-4.i86.rpm

After the initial install of RH 9, I tried to install tftp-server-0.32-
4.i86.rpm from CDROM (from graphical interface via right-clicking on file). 
The RPM window appears and processing begins on the package; but about 2/3 of 
the way through (according to the progress bar), the window disappears 
without any indication of reason. The package is not installed. The last 
indication on the window panel is that it is checking headers.

Do you have any ideas?  Thanks.
