I didn't think I was terribly harsh. rpm -ba has been legacied in for
the last 3 years and jbj has been repeatedly saying 'use rpmbuild' for a
while now. It's been the archives N times where N is a fairly good sized
integer.
I was being sarcastic about the rtfm but if you search for build in the
rpm manpage you'll find the explanation.
