Re: rpm module for python



Thanks for the repies people. I have looked up yum and going thru it now. Also done a bit of googling and found some additional info on the python api from this list in the past.

Are there plans to document the api? If so I would gladly help.

Reading the source of other software using rpm-python bindings is probably the best documentation. I'm somewhat surprised Seth didn't mention yum as a nice tutorial to rpm-python like he usually does :) Yum source should be a good place to start, up2date and anaconda have plenty of rpm-python code but they got much other stuff as well in them making them a harder read.


-- It's perfectly fine to use the name of you pet or child as a password. How ever, for the sake of security, make sure the names of all your pets and children contain several non-alphanumeric characters.
