Problem with Failed Dependencies.....

Hi all,

 i am using rpm 4.0.3, i have the following problem, even though i have perl 
with required version installed , the rpm installation still saying failed 
dependencies.. can any one help.....



[root@s118 perl]# rpm -ivh perl-Data-ShowTable-3.3-7.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
        perl >= 5.00503 is needed by perl-Data-ShowTable-3.3-7

[root@s118 perl]# which perl
/usr/bin/perl

[root@s118 perl]# perl --version
This is perl, v5.6.0 built for i386-linux
