failed dependency check after making my own RPMs

I have just built an rpm which I compiled on this very machine, but when I try 
to install the rpm, I am getting failed dependencies for /bin/sh, 
/sbin/ldconfig, and libc.so.6 all of which are on my machine.  Any clues?
