crap! you're right -- "rpm -qa" as a regular user works fine,
as root, segmentation fault after half a dozen rpms listed. so,
what was the recipe again to see where the problem is? the
LD_ASSUME_KERNEL solution doesn't make a difference.
should i
1) upgrade to rawhide rpm?
2) reboot under bk3 to see if the problem's there?
3) drink heavily?
