%_localstatedir and the FHS version 2.2

Just wondering why the macro %_localstatedir points too /var instead of
/var/lib as per FHS 2.2. Are there plans to bring RPM and its macros in
line with the FHS?

It's perfectly fine to use the name of you pet or child as a password.
How ever, for the sake of security, make sure the names of all your pets
and children contain several non-alphanumeric characters.
