diffing rpms

Hey Guys,
 I am looking for a quick way to diff rpm *contents* (specifically, once
I sign an rpm I want to double-check that the contents are the same as
that of another rpm (the unsigned version). This is useful as part of a
messed up build process :D

 Is there a smarter way to proceed than extracting the rpm payload and
diffing the contents file by file ?
