b/c of all the updates that normally need to be applied for any given
install - we tend to make our %packages list very, very thin and add
all the necessary bits in %post via yum.
it makes the install go faster b/c you don't have to futz around with
applying updates as well as the original package.
oh - and this is probably better off on kickstart-list
