Putting in ~/.rpmmacros
    %_transaction_color 3
will "fix", but you really need to find out why the value is 0.

Hmmm, iirc, /usr/lib/rpm/ppc64pseries-linux/macros is where the value is usually set.

Check /usr/lib/rpm/*/macros for the %_transaction_color, note carefully which directories
(or symlinks to directories) do not exist.


# cat /etc/rpm/platform
ppc64pseries-redhat-linux

Nothing has changed that I am aware of.

I get the same result as using -ivh.


Always use -Uvh unless its the kernel (or you know exactly what you are doing).
