I have installed postfix and procmail. Some things are working but I am
running into some problems:
Do I have to create directories in /var/spool/mail for every user?
I am this error
can't create user output file. Command output:
procmail: Couldn't create "/var/spool/mail/matt" procmail: Lock failure
on
"/var/spool/mail/matt.lock" procmail: Error while writing to
"/var/spool/mail/matt"
I have imap installed and would like to be able to send mail from my windows
box to anywhere (through the linux server) or from my linux box to anywhere.
My last problem (right now) is that mail sent from the linux box says it is
coming from user hostname <mailto:user hostname> when I want it to say
user domainname <mailto:user domainname> by chopping off the first bit. I
set the myorigin=mydomainname in the postfix/main.cf file and ran postfix
reload.
Thanks
Matt Whiteley
